A scale reference for Locrian Scale box shapes (the 7th mode of the Major Scale). These are the five shapes/patterns for the Locrian scale on guitar:

PRACTICE TIPS

  1. Pick a key.

  2. Locate the note on a string.

  3. Overlay the pattern with the 'R' falling on the note of a chosen key.

  4. Play pattern up and down then pick another key.

  5. Practice ONE shape a day and spend 2mins learning the pattern and moving it around to different keys.
